Giveaway!

UPDATE: This Giveaway is now closed, winner to be announced soon!

Do you remember me talking about author, R. Friend? [If not, you can read about it here.] Well, I contacted Ronda and she mailed me the new book, P.U. You Stink. As part of the show special at Smithville Jamboree, if you bought the new book, you got the book Panic in the PigPen free and she sent me that book too. Since we already have the book Panic in the PigPen I am going to give away to one lucky reader the autographed paperback copy of Panic in the PigPen book that she sent.

You can read an excerpt from the book Panic in the PigPen here.

For an entry to win, go to Down on Friendly Acres and play around the farm, come back here and tell me where Ronda and her husband live.

For a second entry to win you must leave a comment telling me your favorite children's book. You have until midnight Sunday, July 19th to enter.

Yes, Franklin, TN - I've never heard of this series of books and truth be told I've never heard of R. Friend but I like what I saw here a ton! My boys read on above average reading levels and it's hard to find content appropriate books for their ages but this I think could be fun for the whole family! Thanks for sharing! I will have to look them up next time I'm in a book store to read more!

My favorite children's books are The Peter Series by Dave Berry and Ridley Pearson. They are packed full of adventure and action (so my boys love them too) as well as the appropriate amount of sweetness for a girl to stay interested. Truth be told I never was a reader, I started reading the books Tristen would bring home from the school library before I'd allow him to read them after he came to me asking how to pronounce "menstration" and what it was in the SECOND GRADE! Then a week later talking about why boys would go into the girls bathroom at school! Come to find out, the books on his reading level had content that was WAY TOO ADVANCED for him! Judy Moody and The Great Gilly Hopkins are NOT for second graders! LOL! These "Peter" books are Disney editions so you know the content is suitable for all ages and they are all about adventures you don't see on film by one of my favorite Disney characters - Peter Pan - and the first book in the series even elaborates on how Peter became "Peter Pan" and how Tinkerbell came into being! They are awesome! Learn more here http://www.peterandthestarcatchers.com/

She lives in Franklin, TN. Our favorite books around here change on a weekly basis. Currently it is Llama, Llama Mad at Mama. Mine are at an age that they definitly don't want to be shopping. Here's keeping my fingers crossed.

What a great book. I checked and everyone's right -- Franklin, Tennesse (I think I've driven through it)

Right now one of our favourite books is Wizard In Love (a Tundra Book). A different take on Beauty and the Beast.
